My rigorous efforts in improving English listening, writing reading and speaking skill
First and foremost, I started to like English. I find the way to make English interesting such as study the poems that touching my heart. The examples of the poems are like ‘Life Brief Candle’ and ‘Macbeth’.
Next, in order to improve my listening to the English, I start to listen to the English music and try to hear clearly word by word that are inside the music. Other than that , I watch English movie without looking at the subtitles provided below. This will make my listening become better day by day.
Besides that, I try to do more exercises to make my writing improve. I also read dictionary so I can find the word that I never use so that I can used it to make my writing become better and interesting. I also study about idioms, proverbs and similes so my writing become more interesting.
Reading is one of my biggest problems. When I start to see many words only, I start to feel sleepy. So I start with reading children’s story books because it has pictures that will not make me sleepy even though people will laugh and make fun of me. Finally, I can stand to read even though it as millions of words.
Lastly, to improve my speaking skill is by practicing it in my daily life even though in my village. Luckily, my elder sister is taking TESL so she also needs to speak English. I always practice my speaking with her.
To put it laconically, English is important to us and we must put rigorous efforts to improve our English as long as we live.
My Eid CeLeBrAtIoN
The day before Hari Raya my brothers and I helped my granny cook ‘rendang ayam’ and ‘rendang daging’. My granny bought ten chickens for the rendang. While we cooking for the rendang , my younger cousins helped my grandpa to change the curtains, cushion cover and cleaning. It is a very tired day for all of us. This year my granny did not make ‘kuih raya’ because she is old and not able to do it.
The night of Raya I followed the mosque pilgrims to ‘Takbir’ from house to house. There are about twenty one houses we went. It ends at about 2 am. The next day is the day that all the muslims are waited since the 1st of Ramadhan. All of my family wore new clohes. It was the happy moment for all of us.
After that it is the time to us to ask for the forgiveness from the elders. It is also the time for us to get ‘duit raya’. This year I got the bigger amount from last year because this year is the year that my eldest brother starts to work as an engineer. There were varieties of food that were served on the table such as ‘lemang’, ‘lontong’, ‘rendang’, ‘nasi impit’ and many more.
Last but not least, it is the time for us to visit all the relatives and collect so much ‘duit raya’. Hari Raya is the best day for me for these year.

My MERDEKA CeLeBrAtIoN
I arrived home from a Merdeka party at 1pm and heard some booming sound from a distance, it sounded like someone blasted music from their car. We did not pay too much attention to it and went into our home to freshen up.
The celebration was actually at the fishing village (Damar Laut) next to my home. The fishing village actually consists of Malay, Chinese and Indians and Merdeka are celebrated at a large scale here. The entire kampong (village) is decorated with arches that promote racial harmony and celebrate the birth of the nation. The Malaysian spirit is strong at this village and appreciates the independence that we have achieved. The scale of celebration at this village is shown by the duration of the fireworks which lasted for 30 minutes with intermittent breaks.
Happy Independent day Malaysia, may we all prosper in harmony till the end of time.

money(financial matters) and natural resources
Monopoly was my first exposure to curreny and its buying power. I spent hours playing the game with kids in my neighborhood, building houses and hotels on all the places I bought with my fake money, and collecting rent and paying some. It taught me that if I dont buy and sell my stations wisely, I will very soon be out of money and out of the game.
My other memory is a savings bank account opened for me at my school. I am not sure exactly what grade I was in, but it was something like 5th grade. Our school had this “Small Savings Bank”, an in-house bank owned and operated by school authorities. Kids were allowed to deposit money, but required a parent to be present when withdrawing money. This small bank was my first introduction to passbook and account keeping. I remember insisting on home-made lunches so that I can put a part of my weekly allowance in the bank.
Coming to the point, I still see the benefits of those money management habits formed early on. I don’t think you need to go head-over-heals to teach money management to kids. All you have to do is make them understand that money is important and simple gestures like getting them a game of monopoly or buying them a small piggy bank or getting them an account in a real bank can go to great lengths in doing just that. I also think it’s a good idea for schools to come up with some money management courses (not graded in the classical sense) in which the kids handle and track a small amount of money for a semester.
God creates people not to be selfish. It is a must for all of us to be helpful and live together as the leader of the earth. God also provide us with the world’s resources but not all the places in this world have the resources. Therefore, these resources need to be shared.
For the example, as we all know Iran and Iraq are riched with their oil. While Malaysia is riched with tin ore. Therefore, Malaysia has diplomatic relationship with Iran. Other than that, Iran is known with their intelligence in nuclear. Malaysia has asked for the Iran’s intelligence in nuclear so that we have other alternative resource besides petroleum and water to life electricity.
Besides that, India is famous with its spices. All people from all over the world would buy the spices. For the example, people from China, Indonesia and Malaysia are the regular customers of these spices.
In a nutshell, people in this world need each other. We must not be selfish and share what we have so that we can have a harmony life.

NUTRITION & HEALTH
Being fit is a way of saying a person eats well, gets a lot of physical activity (exercise), and has a healthy weight. If you're fit, your body works well, feels good, and can do all the things you want to do, like run around with your friends.
Some steps can take — such as serving healthy meals or deciding to take the family on a nature hike. But kids can take charge, too, when it comes to health.
Here are five rules to live by, if you wants to be fit. The trick is to follow these rules most of the time, knowing that some days (like your birthday) might call for cake and ice cream.
- Eat a variety of foods, especially fruits and vegetables. You may have a favorite food, but the best choice is to eat a variety. If you eat different foods, you're more likely to get the nutrients your body needs. Taste new foods and old ones you haven't tried for a while. Some foods, such as green veggies, are more pleasing the older you get. Shoot for at least five servings of fruits and vegetables a day — two fruits and three vegetables. Here's one combination that might work for you:
at breakfast: ½ cup (about 4 large) strawberries on your cereal
with lunch: 6 baby carrots
for a snack: an apple
with dinner: ½ cup broccoli (about 2 big spears) and 1 cup of salad
Physical inactivity has been established as a major risk factor for cardiovascular disease, and most Americans are not physically active enough to gain any health benefits. Swimming, cycling, jogging, skiing, aerobic dancing, walking or any of dozens of other activities can help your heart. Whether it's included in a structured exercise program or just part of your daily routine, all physical activity adds up to a healthier heart.
According to the latest joint American Heart Association/American College of Sports Medicine guidelines on physical activity, all healthy adults ages 18–65 should be getting at least 30 minutes of moderate intensity activity five days of the week. However, there are additional guidelines for older adults, ages 65 and older, or for those adults aged 50-64 with chronic conditions or physical functional limitations (e.g. arthritis) that affect movement ability or physical fitness.
